About

Erica is the owner of Backroads Beauty Aesthetics, and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse who works as a CRNA (certified registered nurse anesthetist).   She was born and raised in Michigan, lived in Iowa for a period of time, and moved to the southwest in late 2020 during the pandemic.  Erica trained at the University of Michigan Flint for her Master’s degree in anesthesia.  Prior to anesthesia, Erica worked in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at the University of Michigan caring for patients with varying levels of illness including patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome, liver transplantation, kidney failure and patients on lung bypass (VV ECMO).   Her love of aesthetics started when she realized how sleep deprivation from raising children took a toll on her life, and appearance.  Erica has taken advanced classes to further her aesthetic knowledge.  She loves making people feel confident and comfortable in their own skin.  Erica is happily married and loves spending time with her family, their hobby farm animals and being outdoors.
